Condor Explained – Theme Park Definition
The Condor is a flat ride model by Huss Rides consisting of a tall central column with several gondola arms. As the ride operates, the arms extend outward and the gondolas rise while the entire structure rotates. Riders experience a combination of rotation, elevation, and outward lean — giving views across the park from a moderate height.
The Condor was a common sight in European parks from the 1970s through the 1990s and can still be found in many permanent locations. It is sometimes confused with chair tower (swing ride) attractions but has enclosed gondolas rather than open suspended chairs.
