Huss Rides Explained – Theme Park Definition
Huss Rides GmbH is a German amusement ride manufacturer founded in 1961 by Paul Huss and based in Bremen. The company produced some of the most recognisable flat ride models of the late 20th century, which can be found in theme parks and travelling fairs worldwide.
Key Huss models include the Top Spin, Break Dance (rotating cars on a spinning disc), Enterprise (centrifugal gondola wheel), Ranger (swinging pendulum ship), Condor (rotating chair tower), and Troika. Many of these designs became industry staples widely copied by other manufacturers. Huss rides are particularly associated with the peak era of flat rides in European parks during the 1980s and 1990s.
