Break Dance Explained – Theme Park Definition
The Break Dance is a flat ride model by Huss Rides in which a set of small cars — each holding two to four riders — is arranged around a large spinning disc. The cars are free to rotate on their own axes as the disc rotates, producing chaotic and unpredictable spinning and tilting forces that vary with each ride cycle.
The Break Dance became one of the most popular travelling and permanent flat ride models from the 1980s onward, recognisable by its illuminated spinning disc and high-energy music programme. Numerous variants and imitations from other manufacturers exist under different names.
