Height Requirement
A minimum height a guest must meet to ride an attraction, enforced for safety reasons.
Attractions
Height requirements are safety rules set by parks to ensure that restraint systems — lap bars, over-the-shoulder harnesses, seat belts — fit and function correctly for every rider. They typically range from 90 cm (about 35 inches) for gentler family coasters to 140 cm (55 inches) for the most intense high-speed rides. Some rides also have maximum height limits or weight restrictions, though these are less common.
For families visiting with young children, checking height requirements before arriving at a park is essential planning. Being turned away at a ride entrance after a long queue is one of the most common sources of frustration at theme parks. Most park websites and apps publish height charts for every ride. Carrying a printed copy or saving a screenshot can save time on the day. Some parks offer "rider switch" systems so that accompanying adults can take turns riding without re-queuing.
