GP (General Public) Explained – Theme Park Definition

GP, or "General Public," is a slang term used within the theme park and roller coaster enthusiast community to describe average park guests who do not share the same level of technical knowledge or passion for rides. The term is often used when discussing how parks market their attractions or how guests react to ride operations and closures. It is generally not used by parks themselves.
