Coaster Elements
Pretzel Knot Explained – Theme Park Definition
A pretzel knot is a coaster element consisting of a simultaneous entrance and exit that forms a pretzel-like shape. Not to be confused with the "pretzel loop" found on flying coasters, the pretzel knot is a rarer element found on coasters like Banshee at Kings Island. It involves two inversions (a dive loop followed by an Immelmann) that overlap, creating a visually striking and high-force experience.
