Coaster Elements
Camelback Explained – Theme Park Definition
A camelback (or camelback hill) is a classic roller coaster element consisting of a large, hump-shaped hill. As the train crests the hill, riders experience "floater" airtime, the sensation of lifting out of their seats. Camelbacks are foundational to hypercoasters and are often used in sequence to provide multiple moments of weightlessness.
