Coaster Elements
Dive Drop Explained – Theme Park Definition
A dive drop is a coaster element used almost exclusively on B&M Wing Coasters. It serves as the initial drop, where the train leaves the lift hill, slowly twists 180 degrees into an inverted position, and then dives down into a half-loop. It provides significant "hangtime" and a unique perspective of the drop, especially for riders on the outside seats.
