Early Entry Explained – Theme Park Definition

Early Entry (also marketed as Early Park Entry, Extra Magic Hours, or Magic Morning depending on the resort) lets guests staying at on-site hotels access the park before the general public. The early window is typically 30 to 60 minutes, during which only hotel guests are present. Because the park has not yet reached its full daily crowd, queues at participating attractions are dramatically shorter than they will be even an hour later.

On a peak day, the combination of early entry and a well-planned morning strategy can allow guests to experience three or four headline attractions with waits under 20 minutes each — rides that would post 60–90-minute waits by mid-morning. The benefit effectively extends the low-crowd morning window, which is the most productive time in any theme park day. Not all attractions participate in early entry; check the park's official website to see which rides are included.
