Ride Experience
On-Ride / Off-Ride Explained – Theme Park Definition
On-ride and off-ride describe the two main ways enthusiasts capture a coaster. An on-ride video is shot from a rider's seat and conveys the pacing, airtime and forces of the experience, while an off-ride video is filmed trackside and shows the layout, theming and trains in motion. The pair comes up constantly when discussing POVs and ride videos shared online; because many parks ban loose phone filming on board, sanctioned on-ride media is especially prized.
