Boarding Group

A numbered virtual queue allocation granting access to a high-demand attraction when that group number is called.

Wait Times

A boarding group is a numbered slot within a virtual queue system, used for the most in-demand attractions where physical queuing would be impractical or create dangerous crowd concentrations. Guests tap into the boarding group system via a park app — often at the exact moment the park opens — and receive a group number. When that number range is called, typically announced in the park app with a push notification, guests have a limited window (usually 60–120 minutes) to present themselves at the attraction's dedicated entrance.

Boarding groups can fill within minutes of becoming available on busy days — Disney's system for Tron Lightcycle Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance has made the frantic morning boarding group grab a well-known phenomenon among frequent park visitors. If you miss the initial wave, a limited number of groups are sometimes re-released throughout the day. Monitoring the park app in the moments after opening is essential when a boarding group attraction is on your list.
