Lightning Lane is Disney's name for its priority queue access system, introduced in late 2021 to replace the discontinued FastPass+ programme. It comes in two tiers: Individual Lightning Lane (ILL), sold separately for the highest-demand attractions at a per-person, per-ride fee; and Lightning Lane Multi Pass (LLMP), a daily subscription allowing guests to reserve timed return windows across a selection of rides. Pricing for both tiers is dynamic, rising on busier days.

Lightning Lane replaced a system that was free, making it one of the most debated changes in recent Disney history. The practical impact depends on how busy the park is — on quiet days the standby queue is fast enough that Lightning Lane offers marginal benefit.
