Coaster Elements
Non-Inverting Loop Explained – Theme Park Definition
A non-inverting loop is a roller coaster element that mimics the shape of a traditional vertical loop but incorporates a twist at the apex so that the train remains upright. Guests experience the visual sensation of a loop and significant vertical G-forces without actually being inverted. This element was popularized by Maurer Rides on their X-Car coasters (like Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit) and has since been used by other manufacturers like Mack Rides.
