Mack Rides Explained – Theme Park Definition
Mack Rides is a German ride manufacturer based in Waldkirch, Baden-Württemberg — a few kilometres from Europa-Park, which the Mack family both owns and uses as a showcase for their products. Founded in 1921, the company began with portable fairground rides before expanding into permanent park attractions. Their portfolio now spans water rides, dark rides (including Disney's Test Track and Radiator Springs Racers), and a rapidly growing range of steel coasters.
Mack's Blue Fire Megacoaster at Europa-Park (2009) was the first ride to feature the Stengel Dive element and immediately became one of Europe's most admired launched coasters. Their more recent hyper coasters have drawn extraordinary praise: Ride to Happiness at Plopsaland de Panne (Belgium) and Kondaa at Walibi Belgium are both considered among Europe's finest coasters by the enthusiast community. Mack has also supplied Disney with multiple custom attractions, cementing a status as one of the most technically versatile manufacturers in the world.
