Wave Turn Explained – Theme Park Definition
Also known as: banked airtime turn
A wave turn is a high-speed banked turn that transitions through a brief moment of negative or lateral G-forces, creating a sensation of airtime mid-corner. Common on Rocky Mountain Construction coasters, the element combines directional change with ejector or floater airtime. It appears on rides like Wildfire (Kolmården) and Untamed (Walibi Holland).
